spent 5 days in the poconos with my fam for my little sister's graduation.i was almost completely unplugged from the matrix.
almost.
it felt good.
growing up with my mother. she raised us (my sister & i) to be comfortable with silence. to get lost in our own thoughts and be entertained by our imaginations rather than tv.
bookstores and libraries were our haven.
televisions and computers and video games and phones were superfluous luxuries.
and for the most part.
we were content that way.
i do have a point i promise.
these past few months have resulted in my own emotional and mental upheaval.
but i never really faced it full on. meditated on it.
of course i thought about it.
i thought about what i should be doing. drew conclusions and all that.
but i never really faced it. without the music. without technology or books as my crutches.
i just found something or another to distract me from the truth of the matter.
this weekend though.
i got my detox. and whilst i spent my nights almost completely inebriated because of of my sister's celebratory shenanigans. :)
i also spent much of my time completely in my thoughts.
reveling in the silence.
getting my bearings.
and resolving my current state of mind.
things are better.
which is always spectacular.
speaking of spectacular. my lil sis is officially a high school grad
uate. yayyyyyy!!! gettin ready for college in the fall to act a cockmonkey fool.gon' and git it!
i swear fo' gawd if this girl wanted to rob a bank i'd throw on the hamburglar mask grab my gat. no hesitation.
:)
congrats dollface!
